Good advice, TY. Yes, I'm curious about the title too. I'm reading a book right now called The Search For Significance by Robert McGee. It's great!

I had a terrible night last night, and could have used this! But will keep for other days/nights when I am struggling! Thanks for sharing...

it's "emotional intelligence 2.0" very easy read, unlike some other EQ book i tried to read before.

i heeded an advice from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6023&p=60312&hilit ... nce#p60312

EQ can be found in spiritual books too. That's where I learnt how to care for people regardless of them trying to upset or belittle me. Of course this doesn't mean I'm open to being abused, quite the opposite. It means I've gained enough awareness to know the difference. The difference between it being their problem, or mine.

IMHO, "emotional intelligence" is a bit of misnomer. a lot of that is just common sense. the reason i didn't develop it while a child/young adult, i didn't know it was important in life. i learned from my parents some other things were more important and i concentrated on that.
so, yes, one can learn that EQ via different pathways.
