Good question. I often use similar terms with clients. when they regress in therapy, i ask how old are they now? Or how old do they feel? Its often very young. I have never heard it teased out in the 4 ways your therapist describes - sounds really good though.

I've never seen it written in books, although there is a lot of great stuff on the inner child (especially John Bradshaw's books and video series) which would be an indication of emotional age.
