Thanks, David!

Never heard of, "vulnerable narcissism" until I saw this. Interesting how it develops or comes through for children of cold or overbearing (my words) parents.
I've suspected seeing narcissistic traits in introverts before and told myself, Nah, they never show grandiose behavior etc... Looks like they might fall into the vulnerable category?

Accepting criticism took me a looooong time to improve. One or two key areas are next to impossible for me to not have a narcissistic reaction, then dwelling on it...knowing its narcissism. ~x(

dismiss that which insults your soul.

In childhood, I was a shy introvert
My mom was overbearing and critical
I am very reactive to criticism of any kind, even if it's teasing
My DH does tease me quite a lot and I ask him to stop because I don't like it.
In hindsight, LO never teased me.

My experience entirely, although LO teased me - but then I teased him harder ;) we bounced off each other that way.

I may have mentioned this before but in response to someone else. It is worth googling Daughters of Narcissistic Mothers and reading up a bit on that.
