yeah, Amen is controversial, because he used his discoveries to make a buck, rather than publish scientifically. interesting, after all that flack he got for scanning brains (because as we all know, psychiatrists always "know" better without brain scans), now, most of the progress in the science of psychiatry (but not practice yet) is from functional MRI brain scans (Amen used older SPECT scans).
but now, he freely shares his knowledge in his books and on line. he is wealthy, but not a crook.
IMHO, he got one thing wrong. he recommends high dose omega 3 to everyone. some people (including myself) react badly to that with dysphoria and depression. supposedly, that is common in people with BPD.

Dr Amen himself actually recommends someone else scoring this before assuming #1 is the correct type.
Indeed. Someone close to me should score it , and I could be 8 too!
I suffer with focus and executive decisions too.

Thank you for pointing this out. Good to know.

yeah, and that does not support my hypothesis, that most people with LE have underlying mental issues, like i do.

People with this type tend to be:

Be spontaneous
Be creative, “out-of-the-box” thinkers
Focus only when interested
Be restless
Be motivated
Have a busy mind

YES to all of the above

for some of you who are not sure if Dr Amen is the real deal, judge for yourself, here is his most recent interview. warning, it's very long and a bit a promo of his newest book. i listened to it twice already and plan to do it again and take notes (or get the book).
