The phenomenon narcissism is relevant to abusive relationship. Limerent-prone people are susceptible to abuse given their infatuation. LS are likely to endure or turn a blind eye to abusive behavior. Limerence itself is a mindset all of its own.

Perhaps the inner narrative of a turning a blind eye is so ingrained due to past experiences... and it's a case of history repeating itself? Idk, too many hypotheses out there.

But the notion that LO is a narcissist is irrelevant in the context of healing, given healing from my observations stems from being internally focused. Focusing on that ingrained out of date, dysfunctional narrative. Granted one needs to see and manage interactions with a narcissist in their lives irrespective of limerence. But in terms of limerence, one needs to separate from LO regardless of them being a narcissist.

In short, whether LO is a narcissist or not, healing comes from focusing inwards.

All the best WM!
