"To this day, I tell myself it must have been a ‘love at first sight’ kinda thing when I met neighbor (LO) 5 years ago. I’m pretty sure, I was smitten from the beginning. I was immediately attracted to her, and in the months and years that followed, what I experienced and felt with/for her couldn’t hold a candle to other ‘crushes’ or ‘infatuations’ I’d had – all of which were mere child’s play compared to this.

Not only physical attraction; I was drawn to her – personality, intellect, sense of humor, value system, good wife and mother, and so on."
Sounds like my LO.
Welcome

It can be as long as you want as long as it does not crash the server

@MrSpock:
Maybe it's not so much the story, as it is the long-winded and verbose teller of the story! I reckon my story is average joe/fair-to-midland. :)

@Celestialbody:
3-part cliffhanger - I like it! I guess I'll try that approach. Still, I'm working on trimming the fat. I'm the over-analytical type that it may take me a few more weeks till I feel ready to publish.

I already have a few catch phrases that might make for good sub-titles, like "Dopamine Famine" and "Perfect Storm"

Here's my intro:

"To this day, I tell myself it must have been a ‘love at first sight’ kinda thing when I met neighbor (LO) 5 years ago. I’m pretty sure, I was smitten from the beginning. I was immediately attracted to her, and in the months and years that followed, what I experienced and felt with/for her couldn’t hold a candle to other ‘crushes’ or ‘infatuations’ I’d had – all of which were mere child’s play compared to this.

Not only physical attraction; I was drawn to her – personality, intellect, sense of humor, value system, good wife and mother, and so on."

That sounds like a novel! Maybe do it in three parts with cliffhangers? I love reading stories on here. Makes me feel less alone and weird. Plus with all the data points, I'm starting to see common factors and circumstances.

I can already tell you're one of us - overly sensitive and worried about criticism and positive feedback. Welcome to the club!

Wow.. that's quite a story!

Maybe split it up in an "abridged" version, then the long one right next to it?
